';Clear'; internet provider, good or bad? *repost*?

a fairly new internet in gresham; i want to know pros and cons (mostly cons) about it., we plan to switch, i know its cheap and offers up to a 6 mb/s connection for 40$, does it drop out a lot? etc.';Clear'; internet provider, good or bad? *repost*?
well if you're paying for that much there shouldn't be any internet drop. However you can't control that, depending on whose your internet provide for instance cable modem internet speed drop will be affected if there's a lot people using the same provider within the neighbourhood. Each neighbourhood has a server. So really the more people on and downloading at the same time yes it will affect you. And it the same goes with DSL but depending on the company. Most speed performance are usually within your home so assuming that have 2 or more computers on the internet one is downloading large files, another playing online gaming and the other just surfing the internet you will then notice a huge drop on internet speed. So you'll need a better router that can distribute your internet speed properly.

check dlink dir-655 it will give you detail info on that.

anyways hope that helps seems a bit complicated but really it's not.
