How do I clear my history on the internet?

I know how to hide previously visited websites, but how do you clear stuff that come up in text boxes such as google and youtube?How do I clear my history on the internet?
That is called the Auto complete History which is used for conveniences. To get rid of it, head to your control panel---internet options---and then on the top tabs, head to content and click the button about autocomplete settings. Now you may choose which types of informations you may have saved in text boxes. Now to clear them, head to general on the top tab and click delete on browsing history. If your not already using Firefox, I strongly recommend it. It's a much better and safer alternative to IE and you can set it up to clear the history each time you close the browser automatically. I also highly recommend CCleaner. CCleaner is free and removes all traces of your online activities.
