There is a firefox add on, called clear private data which makes it very easy, to access this feature, by customizing with a toolbar button. you can also make it so firefox clears this data every time you close it, by going to the ';edit'; button then to ';preferences';, then go to the ';privacy'; tab and check the box at the bottom that says ';always clear private data.. '; and ';ask me before..'; you can also specify what data you want cleared by going into the ';settings'; button right next to those options.

hope this helps.
