How to tell what my teens have looked up online if they clear the history under internet options?

I need to know how to block my teens from clearing the history under the internet options tab so that I can't see what has been looked up. Also how to tell whats been looked up after it has been cleared..How to tell what my teens have looked up online if they clear the history under internet options?
Cindy, if the IE history has been cleared, for starters you can browse through the cookies and you can browse through the ';Temporary Internet Files'; folder for their account. An example location would be C:\Documents and Settings\Cindy\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files (for user Cindy). The ';Local Settings'; is typically a hidden folder, so before you go to it in Windows Explorer, you will have to select Tools, Folder Options, and then select the View tab and check the circle for ';show hidden files and folders';. The Cookies folder would typically be under C:\Documents and Settings\Cindy\Cookies (for user Cindy).





Those are the two easiest places to browse through for starters. You might want to consider installing a stealth program that does keystroke logging so you will know every last site they visited and everything they typed into IM sessions, etc. Reference link below, this is one of several tools available for this. For the teens reading this (saw some earlier replies) don't underestimate the intelligence and stealthiness of your own parents! It would probably be worth it to hire someone to come in and install parental blocks and show you how to retrace thier history after it's cleared. I'd call the Geek Squad from Best Buy to help. Or try searching on the web for instructions.
Why do you need to know what they've looked at? Why can't you just simply trust them?
If they have cleared it, they've done it for a reason. I would think anyway. You should try a guardian type thing... look it up on the internet.. my friend julie has one for her daughter and it sends her and email telling her where all she went and where she tried to go and failed.
