Can a normal Clear modem connect internet to a PS3 wireless-ly without a router?

I just need to know if I need to spend the extra money on a router or not before a buy my PS3Can a normal Clear modem connect internet to a PS3 wireless-ly without a router?
You can connect a device to a modem via Ethernet, but not WiFi.

A modem doesn't subnet anything, so if you want to connect more than one device, you'll need a router. If you want to connect more than one device using WiFi, then you'll need a wireless router. Can a normal Clear modem connect internet to a PS3 wireless-ly without a router?
I think their are some modems that support wireless connections. How ever most are wired and usually require a wireless router in order to use your internet with out a solid wired connection. I am willing to bet you have a standard modem that is not wireless, So i would have to say no. However If you give me the full name, make, and model of your modem I can double check for sure.
No, because The Modem gives you a direct line into your network. So you would have to plug the PS3 into the Modem(if an extra port is available) and then just change the setting on the PS3. But if you want wireless you will need to buy a router and setup the router and wireless settings so you can then connect your PS3 to your wireless network.
you need a wireless router....
