If you're just trying to delete your recent history and there aren't any computer nerds in the house, deleting your browsing history should be enough. On IE, go to Tools, then click Delete Browsing History. On FireFox, go to Tools, then click Clear Private Data. Be sure to clear everything.

It depends on your browser.
If you have Internet Explorer:
Click on tools and select delete browsing history
If you have mozilla Firefox:
1. Click on tools and select clear private data
2. When the clear private data pops up, click OK
If you have another type of browser, I do not know
click on 'tools' located on top right hand side.
if it is ie 7 than it's says delete browsing history
a window will pop up, press delete all. and press yes. you are ready to go again

Go to Tools, Internet Options, General, and there is a place to delete cookies, history, etc. Read that carefully. It also deletes saved passwords. This is Vista but this capability should be on other EPs.
Be more specific go to tools, options, clear internet history all your visited websites will be erased except for the ones that you have saved or bookmarked... If you are using firefox than just press ctrl-shift-del
Go into internet
At the top go into tools
internet options ( BOX APPERARS )
bottom of box CLEAR HISTORY
CLICK IT
go to browser bar, tools, delete browsing history, select delete all,
tools, internet options, (general), delete...
