Is there a way to keep them from deleting info?How can I track kids internet use when they delete cookies and clear history?
Download a key-logger. You will know everywhere they went and they won't even know you know. go to download.com and search keylogger.How can I track kids internet use when they delete cookies and clear history?
If they are loged into the admin account. They can do anything. Make them login to a guest account and put restrictions on it. Restrict them from deleting files.
well yea u can put a keyloger and you prolly should activate your parental control option b/c they are deleting the stuff and that could mean that they are looking at stuff there not supposed to or are playin some game they dont want you knowing about.
put a keylogger on there and hide it ...
netnanny.com it works
use NetDog : http://www.netdogsoft.com
There are ';spy'; programs you can buy on disk or download. You can even buy software that will record exactly what your kids type whether they delete files or not.

I think your problem is not technical its ethical and / or a parenting topic.

I'm not slamming you for being concerned but this isn't the right forum for the question you REALLY have. First you need to establish in your mind what you think your kids should be allowed to do and they develop some strategy that will get them to do that.
For God's sake, maybe actually supervise their internet use. Would you let your kids wander around the biggest city in the world without any supervision?
Assuming you use Internet explorer, try disabling the General tab. That way the buttons to clear history, cookies, and temporary internet files will be gone.

reg add ';HKLM\ Software\ Policies\ Microsoft\ Internet Explorer\ Control Panel'; /v GeneralTab /t REG_DWORD /d 1

Note that I have added spaces after each ';\'; in between the quotes in the above command, YOU MUST REMOVE THE SPACES. I did that because Yahoo answers likes to chop off any text that is too long. Only remove the spaces in between the quotes that are After a slash. Eg, leave the spaces in ';Internet Explorer'; and ';Control Panel';

This will remove the General tab from Internet Explorer Internet Options. To get it back, just paste in the same command, but change the number ';1'; at the end, to a zero.

If they are very experienced, however, they will be able to get around this by manually deleting the history and cookies from windows explorer or the command prompt. You can probably stop that too though by making them use restricted accounts, and removing permission for their accounts to delete from those folders.
get a kids tracking program.
