Best way to clear out ALL internet history, files, downloads, etc?

What is the best and most thorough way of deleting ALL internet browsing history from a company lap top? I already know how to clear history, clear cookies, and delete all files in the temporary internet file folder. But I have a feeling that there are other ways for my company to see all the porn that me and my wife like to look up! Is there a way to delete it off the hard drive? Is my internet browsing history stored anyplace else? How do I completely get rid of ALL browsing history, short of dropping my lap top on a hard surface from about 12 feet up?Best way to clear out ALL internet history, files, downloads, etc?
You need to get the CCleaner (see below).

Tools %26gt; Internet Options %26gt; Delete Browsing History and choose what you wish to delete.

If your using Firefox just go to Tools and click ';Clear Private Data';. If your not using Firefox I recommend getting it (you can even set it up so it clears the cache every time you close the browser!).

If your really concerned about privacy, there are still traces of your online activity stored in the registry and ';index.dat'; files that cannot be removed from within your browser. CCleaner will remove these ';index.dat'; files making future recovery very difficult. CCleaner is free and removes all traces of your online activities (highly recommended).Best way to clear out ALL internet history, files, downloads, etc?
AdAware, Spybot search and Destroy, reformat, stop looking at porn on a company laptop.

You can delete the internet history content files on your PC. But, the can easily be recovered using system restore or other 3rd party recovery software. When you are using Windows to delete files. There are not really deleted

The ';deleted files'; are placed in a human unreadable section of your hard drive. This data is then rendered inactive and it is not used in the regular functions of your computer. However, this information can be easily re-activated or ';un-deleted'; with simple recovery programs or even system restore. However, if enough time goes by the info is over-written.

You have to perform a ';secure delete'; to remove information permanently. This is the only real way to erase information off of magnetic media. This works by encrypting the data and deleting it many times over until its nothing more than unreadable code. Shredding is another technique but not nearly as effective. Also. The US Dept of Defense endorse ';secure delete'; as the only way to permanently remove data. Check out this link. A third party deletion software will cost you about $25 but make sure its endorsed with the US DoD santization procedures. I installed Evidence Eraser on many computers at a patent company. Its the industry leader Here is a link

Special note: Ccleaner does not permanently removed data. It perform the same function as Windows. In fact you can use Ccleaner recover software to undelete all the info you previously deleted.
